Join us for a Record Setting Night!

      March 9,2014

Triad FCA and The ACC would like to invite you to "sponsor a huddle” and support the local ministry of FCA. On Sunday March 9th at 5pm, we’re working to pack over 1,000 FCA coaches, students and supporters in the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center for the largest FCA huddle event ever held in the Triad.  This is our annual fund raising and ministry outreach event, with proceeds benefiting the local Triad FCA chapter.

Our keynote speaker for this special evening is legendary ACC football coach, Bobby Bowden. Coach Bowden is a committed Christian and strong advocate for FCA.  With 377 career wins, 2 national championship titles and 12 ACC championships, he is the all-time winningest coach in Division I FBS college football.  He will share homespun wisdom and stories from his 55 year coaching career.

And after the huddle, we invite everyone (all 1,000+ guests) to join us in the FCA section at the ACC Women's Championship basketball game. Tipoff is at 7:00pm, and this year's game is televised live on ESPN.  As a huddle sponsor, you and your guests will receive ACC championship game tickets and commemorative t-shirts.

We'll also be treated to a live halftime performance from Danielle Bradbery, winner of NBC's The Voice in 2013. Danielle recently sang the national anthem at the Sugar Bowl, and her debut studio album, Danielle Bradbery, was released on November 25, 2013, featuring top 20 country hit "The Heart of Dixie". Her song "My Day" will be featured in the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.

I hope you'll consider partnering with us for this incredible evening, as we celebrate the local ministry of FCA in an ACC championship atmosphere.  Please invite your family and friends, and help us spread the word.

Your partners in the work of the gospel,

      Eddie Miller

      Triad FCA Area Director

Bobby Bowden - A Legendary Coach

Bobby Bowden, who was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame six years ago, holds the NCAA record for most career wins and bowl wins by a Division I FBS coach. He coached the Florida State Seminoles football team from the 1976 to 2009 seasons. During his time at Florida State, Bowden led FSU to an Associated Press and Coaches Poll National Title in 1993 and a BCS National Championship in 1999, as well as twelve ACC Conference championships since FSU joined the conference in 1991.

Coach Bowden guided Florida State to 31 bowl appearances in his 34 seasons, including a record streak of 28 straight bowl games.  He is the only coach in the history of Division I-A football to compile 14 straight 10-win seasons (1987-2000), coaching the Seminoles to consensus National Championships in 1993 and 1999.  Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward and consensus All-America linebacker Derrick Brooks led the Seminoles to their first title defeating Tom Osborne’s Nebraska team in the 1994 Orange Bowl.  Bowden’s 1999 team was led by eventual Heisman Trophy winner Chris Weinke and they were the first team in the history of the Associated Press poll to go wire-to-wire ranked No. 1.  FSU defeated a Michael Vick-led Virginia Tech team in the 2000 Sugar Bowl to complete the perfect season and win the title.  Coach Bowden was named National Coach of the Year six times (1979, 1980, 1991, 1992, 1996 and 1999), and a national award for citizenship bears his name.

Danielle Bradbery  - A budding Country Superstar

Seventeen year old Danielle Bradbery charmed her way into the national spotlight with a mix of Country hits from several decades during Season 4 of “The Voice”.  The reigning star of the NBC hit show has become the youngest winner and her coach, Blake Shelton, called her “the most important artist to ever walk across the Voice stage.”

The Texas native earned high praise from her performances of classics like “Maybe It Was Memphis” (Pam Tillis), “Born To Fly” (Sara Evans) and “Grandpa(Tell me ‘Bout The Good Old Days)” (The Judds) as well as her duet with Shelton of Patti Loveless’ hit “Timber, I’m Falling In Love.”  Danielle’s covers of these top Country songs landed her on the top of the iTunes Country Chart multiple times during the season, making her the highest selling artist and youngest in the show’s history.
