True You: Body Image, Self Esteem, and Mental Health

True You: Body Image, Self Esteem, and Mental Health Good body image, self-esteem, and mental health are not about making yourself feel happy all the time. They are really about respecting yourself. This group is to share our experiences, provide sisterly support, and to empower women along their journey to self-acceptance and self-love. "Loving oneself isn't hard, when you understand who and what 'yourself' is. It has nothing to do with the shape of your face, the size of your eyes, the length of your hair or the quality of your clothes. It's so beyond all of those things and it's what gives life to everything about you. Your own self is such a treasure." - Phylicia Rashad “Whether we’re a size two or twenty, whether we’re tall, short, narrow, or wide, we can learn to love those things about ourselves that are truly beautiful - the things that come from within and matter the most.”  - Janet Jackson  “People always ask me, “You have so much confidence. Where did that come from?” It came from me. One day I decided that I was beautiful… It doesn't have anything to do with how the world perceives you. What matters is what you see."  - Gabourey Sidibe The fee to attend the sessions are $80 a month or $25 weekly ('pay as you go') with a maximum of 8 women per session. Participants must register online to reserve their spot. *If you'd like to save and pay Monthly, please call 336-405-7200 or email; subject line: Mental Health Monday for further instructions.  Each session will be facilitated by Torri M. Johnson, MS, LPCA, NCC. Torri is a licensed mental health professional, advocate, and psychotherapist.
